World Telecommunication Development Conference (CMDT-17)
The World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-17) met in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from October 9 to 20, 2017, with more than 1400 participants. The WTDCs are convened between two Plenipotentiary Conferences to discuss issues, projects and programs relevant to the development of telecommunications. These define the strategies, objectives and provide guidance and guidelines for the future to the Telecommunications Development Sector (ITU-D). The theme of WTDC-17 is "ICT for the Sustainable Development Goals" - ICT④SDGs.
In this conference, within the framework of the "Argentine Universities in ITU" project, we had the opportunity to participate as part of the Argentine Delegation. This allowed us to be in all the discussions that took place during the Conference. In addition, we have been able to share multiple talks with decision makers and with the most relevant actors in 134 countries. This participation adds to the experience of the entire GICom team and becomes a new achievement achieved together.
