Project: "Study and critical analysis of communications systems for wearable devices"

"

Having approved the PID through provision 277, work began according to the established schedule. This project seeks to analyze the characteristics and existing technical specifications of the communication systems for wearable devices used in the monitoring of the health and well-being of individuals, proposing modifications based on the results of tests and simulations. In addition, these results will be used to provide recommendations for the definition of an IoT (Internet of Things) standard for wearable devices, prepared by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

The result will be to find the technical characteristics that wearable device systems require for optimum operation. Throughout the development of the project, the existing regulations in the ITU in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) will be analyzed together with the current discussions for the drafting of new standards and related related areas. Based on the discussions analyzed, the optimal strategy to propose contributions will be determined.

A positive start, with favorable prospects, leaves a fertile path to continue work with many short-term expectations.
